If you have followed my blog or me on Twitter for any amount of time, you know I love #lrnchat. It is without a doubt one of the hugest sources of informal learning for me. #lrnchat is a twitter chat all about about the intersection of education and social media. If you are an educator, you should definitely check it out.
This week, I get to host another twitter chat – #SANchat. This is (I think…) the only twitter chat for the storage industry. For my education followers SAN = Storage Attached Network. For my storage followers, #SANchat is a vendor neutral twitter chat, it usually happens once a month. It is the brain child of the folks at Compellent, and now Dell is continuing the twitter chat!
The purpose of #SANchat is to bring the industry together to talk about the issues and trends – things like virtualization and unified storage. To read more about #SANchat, check out this page.
This week we’ll be talking about the Dell Storage Forum. I’m hosting with Compellent’s Liem Nguyen and Dell Tech Center’s Lance Boley (aka iSCSIKing). I hope I’ll get to host more of twitter chats, and I hope all my storage friends will drop in to say hello. To watch the conversation, check out tweetchat. If you want to participate, log in with your Twitter account. Or, just do a search for #SANchat with your twitter client, and join the conversation by adding #SANchat to your tweets.
We’ll be running Tweetchat from 4 – 5:30 EST. I would love to see you there!!
