We went to get some comics and albums from a nice man we met at the auction today.
Brian has filled out his XMen collection a bit (my words not his):
- Avengers Annual 10 – First Appearance of Rogue
- Some of the Dark Phoenix saga
- First appearance of Elecktra and the Hand (no cover though!)
I just got some cool albums (listening to the Cars right now…)
- The Company album (original Bway Cast)
- Promises Promises cast album
- a Kid Ory album (new orleans music)
- A couple of Johnny Cash albums
- A Sun album with lots of good songs (Honey Don’t, RedHot, You are my Sunshine, Whole lotta shakin…)
But my favorite new albums are:
- Puffy Sleeves and other exquisite foolishness (ads from TIME radio)
- How to communicate your ideas – This one is a howto album, as in howto communicate with your boss. Of course since it was recorded in 1967, no women on the cover. It’s a great reminder that new technology is just an educational tool, it doesn’t replace the idea that we learn certain ways, comprehend instruction in certain ways, etc. I may rip this one too – it would be funny.
I really need some software to catalog my collection (which is HUGE!!!). Any suggestions?
