My company exclusively used ToolBook for creating our off the shelf courseware and we have been using it for close to 10 years. It is a much more powerful tool than most e-learning authoring tools. Unfortunately, I fear that few people use even a tenth of the capabilities of ToolBook, but isn’t that true with most software packages? One thing that keeps us using ToolBook is the ability to use it to automate development. For example, if you want to change colors, fonts, placement of objects on the screen, you can write little automation scripts to make those changes wholesale throughout the entire course in less than a minute.
